Allo from Mauritius

Summer is setting its place on dodo island , the heat has been soaring up so much now that its almost impossible to stay in a room which is not properly equipped with an AC.

Fortunately for us so far we have not yet heard anything from our mean friend the Chikungunya mosquito which had set havoc on the island last summer. The symptoms were pain to the joints which lasted for many months. The precautions taken by the government has helped alleviate this problem it seems....so thats brilliant.

Tourists are now flowing in in masses again which is definite advantage for the country and its seems that there is a record number of tourists coming from the states too.. which is like really really far away from us .

So the days of beach partying are now started and with high school and primary school kids at home most Mauritian families are set to enjoy the beach this weekend . Things not to forget to bring include:

1. Sun screen creams
2. Sun glasses
3. Lots of cold drinks
4. Sandwitches
5. A balloon ..you never know when you might need one
6. Lots of people to party with
7. and of course your swimming gear .. you don't go to the beach to swim on sand do you :P
