Woza SA 2010 WOZA

Hi, Well as promised I sid I will blog about my recent trip to the Kruger National Park. The duration of the trip lasted my week. We left on a Friday morning from Johannesburg in a group comprising of myself, my cousins Faaiz, Mamoo and a friend named Sol. These guys are definately equipped for the Wild and the Bush. Although Kruger National Park has a variety of luxury lodges and camps situated throught its vast plains, the element of the Bush Experience can clearly be felt. But more about that later.

DAY 1-BREAKING OUR JOURNEY IN EASTERN TRANVAL(Mpumelanga)

We headed off on Day one toward the Mpumelanga Province which is three hours from Jozie. This province is filled with luscious greenery and breathtaking scenery, winding rivers and a pure haven for Hikers, Mountain Climbers and Bikers. We arrived in Nelspruit at 9:30am and stopped at the Pine Lake Inn in Sabie Sabie to have the traditional Pancakes and Fresh orange juice and then immediately headed off to a place called Gods Window.

The reason why the place is called Gods Window because it is situated on a mountain. From the peak of this Mountain you can see a breathtaking view of Mozambique and the beautiful landscape below. Let me put it to you this way its like looking through Gods Window.

After clambering up and down a long flight of stairs we jumped back into our 4x4 and proceeded to a a place called Potholes. These are natural springs in the area and again make for breathtaking viewing and yeah a bit of swimming.

At about 5pm we retreated to a nearby lodge that had a view that anyone could die for. With the red hot sun setting in the Bush and the chants of birds and other creatures bellowing away we prepared our Barbeque on the balcony , ate and sipped on some sundowners before laying in bed and partaking in a disco of the Bush coming to life at night, Except that this disco gradually puts you to sleep only to awake with dawn where we would begin our journey to one of the greatest treasures Africa has to offer. Will log on again with Day 2 of our journey where it only gets better
