Good idea for a post- but now you have to tell us about each place :)

We have a Waterloo near to usi AL, and the Hermitage is the home of former President Andrew Jackson in Nashville, TN.

Tell about each place! 24b explanations may be too long a post. Would be interesting (and maybe quite difficult?) to find out if each country on this blog had at least one place name in common.

You can do them one at a time :)

I think I read somewhere that 'Main Street' is the most common place name in the USA. Not as interesting, but possibly would occur worldwide.

We have Main Street too.

That's interesting... Main Street does seem like a most common name... At least in smaller cities. I think even ancient towns had main streets. In Plovdiv it's called Glavna ulitza, but Sofia doesn't have a main street.

Apart from "main Street" as a name we also have main roads: Eastern Main Road, Southern Main Road, etc.
