It's not Spring...

It's still January and it's going to freeze again and maybe snow and it's not the right time for the flowers to start blooming.

I live in an in-between zone: the sunny south below me and the snowy north above me. Sometime between November and March, we will have our winter: a hard freeze, usually a light snowfall, occasionally an ice storm . The rest of the time alternates a few cold, rainy, gray days with a few cool, sunny, pleasant days.

It can be confusing, especially for the plants originally from colder climates. I walk in my yard and explain to them that although we have nice, sunny, warm days that it's just a short break, that it's not springtime, and not the time yet to grow. But they just don't listen.

In which state do you live ?

Flowers in Bulgaria blossomed early too. The greatest concern is that crops might freeze and die because there is no snow to keep them warm.

I live in Alabama (a southern state) but at the very northern end, near Tennessee.

I need to go look up how to add a link with HTML tags, it would work better.

There was a terrible ice storm in the northwest USA recently. And all the scientists argue whether it's unusual or just part of the whole picture. I hope your crops don't freeze.
