
Today is Midsummer Day of the Ox in Japanese calendar when we eat Unagi no Kabayaki,you can read about Kabayaki here.
We eat it to improve strength and get through the hot summer.

I might try it if I didn't know what it was, but I don't think I could knowingly eat Unagi.
I did like the part about the different cooking styles in different areas- whether to cut it from the front or the back. It sounds just like people here arguing about how to cook ribs on a grill.
